I STAY on a mission to find products to style, treat and protect my low-porosity curly hair. And it is NOT EASY. There is an art to moisturizing low porosity curly hair without it becoming greasy. I try my best to keep my hair moisturized, deep conditioned and cared for in order for it to be in good condition, especially since the pandemic has stopped my monthly trips to the hair stylist’s chair. Since I have low porosity hair, it rarely holds moisture yet takes forever to dry. My normal products were Carol’s Daughter’s hair milk and hair gel on wet hair then blow drying with a diffuser, which was working fine until I noticed that between washes the hair milk was not doing a good job of refreshing my curls without excess product build-up. Enter Quench by Aunt Jackie’s. I started using this leave-in conditioner last week and I can see the difference already! I use it on wet, clean hair with a little of the Carol’s Daughter hair milk plus Aunt Jackie’s Flaxseed Gel, then either blow-dry or air-dry. Between wash days, I wet my hair and use Quench by itself to refresh my curls. Aunt Jackie’s for the win!
