The current pandemic has changed our lives, especially the way we clean our homes. With Covid-19 cases rising in many states, the pressure is on to have a clean home. But that it is easier said than done. Plus with #CovidFatigue setting in, we are tired of constantly cleaning! But before you let you guard down, follow these quick tips to clean the top five places in your home to keep it Covid-19 free.

Kitchen: Wipe down all surfaces (knobs, fridge door handles, microwave touchpad) and sinks in your kitchen and dining areas using an antibacterial spray or wipe. Replace dish-washing sponges every week because they are infamous for breeding bacteria. Sweep and/or mop floor daily.

Bath: Clean and disinfect toilet, shower, tub and sinks. Do a quick-clean of you shower/tub (see my post on this) and sinks while you toilet bowl disinfects. Scrub toilet bowl and sweep floor. Finally wipe down all surfaces with antibacterial wipes or spray.

Shared Areas: Wipe down all surfaces and shared items (remotes, landline phones, light switches, etc.) with antibacterial wipes or spray. Dust, vacuum/sweep carpet and floors, especially if you have small children and/or pets. Dust/wipe your baseboards.

Spare room/Laundry/Play room: Fold and put away clean laundry ASAP. Wipe down all frequently surfaces plus any toys, play areas, hampers, laundry bins and/or laundry carts with antibacterial wipes or spray. Keep dirty laundry bagged inside of knotted or closed plastic bag inside your hamper. Sweep/mop daily.
